Who we are

Public Organization "Ukrainian National Foundation for Veterans and Victims of War" is a non-profit Ukrainian NGO consisting of active combat personnel, veterans, and volunteers, as well as experienced experts in social development, human rights activists, leaders in non-profit management, administrators of international projects, personal development trainers, economists, medical professionals, psychologists, and educators.

We have joined together to make a difference in social attitudes toward veterans and victims of war. We are saddened by the large scale of people affected by the war in Ukraine, numbering in the millions. We understand that action needs to be taken now to avoid facing a socio-economic and humanitarian crisis in the post-war future.

Chairperson Anna Romanova

Anna RomanovaChairperson, Ph.D.

Dr. Anna Romanova is an experienced leader in non-profit management, empowering communities, strategic planning, and building cross-functional teams. As the head of the board, she aims to make a difference in recovering affected communities and individuals through education, training, social involvement, governmental regulations, and mental health healing. Additionally, Anna is passionate about helping people and working towards a brighter future for Ukraine.

Coordinator Violetta Yanishevska

Violetta YanishevskaCoordinator of projects, MBA in project management

Violetta Yanishevska is a significant leader in dozens of international projects related to physical and mental health rehabilitation. She takes pride in providing the best resources and services possible for rehabilitation veterans, their families, and other victims of war, including children, youth, and people with disabilities. In addition to her primary job functions, Violetta is a volunteer helping hundreds of warriors, and civilians during the war. She is also the leader of the Ukrainian Medical Tourism Association, which helps our military to get rehabilitation all over the world.

Consultant Yevhen

YevhenConsultant on veteran projects

Yevhen is currently serving in the Ukrainian Army as Active Duty. He graduated from the top Ukrainian technical university, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, and is fluent in English and German. He has worked in IT companies and even had his own business in Ukraine before the war changed everything for him. Yevhen made the decision to go to the frontline to protect his country. Motivated by his own challenges and experiences, Yevhen is dedicated to making a difference in Ukrainian society by involving veterans in various activities, training programs, and startups. He is a true patriot who not only wants to support Ukraine on the frontline but also in the veterans' movement and their reintegration into society.

Coordinator Viktoriya

ViktoriyaCoordinator of youth projects

Viktoriya Romanova is a teenage Ukrainian refugee who had to flee her country due to war, like half a million other Ukrainian children. She does her best to support Ukraine by creating and selling art at Charity Fairs in the US. She also attends Ukrainian meetings in front of the Capitol to urge American politicians to stand with Ukraine. Viktoriya participated in a special photo project to raise awareness among American youth about the ongoing tragedy in Ukraine. She is passionate about promoting Ukraine to her American peers and adults, and has created a website showcasing Ukraine's path to Independence, which she presented at the National History Day in the U.S. Viktoriya believes in democratic values, diversity, and the power of girls. As a youth community leader, she wants to make a difference in Ukrainian schools and empower young people from Ukraine and overseas to come together and change the world for a brighter future!

Our team has consulted more than 100 veterans, their families, refugees, and other war victims.

We have initiated more than 10 projects aimed at supporting the mental health and adaptation of Ukrainians.

We consult more than 15 affected territorial communities on how to attract investments and assistance from foreign partners for post-war recovery.

We have conducted more than 50 meetings and events to support Ukraine all over the world.

Our team systematizes cases of veterans' rights violations and war victims to develop necessary state policies and legislative support.

We are developing a "Veterans and War Victims Reintegration Strategy".
